As
mentioned in the previous page (Social
Bookmarking), social bookmarks are very important
to creating backlinks. Digg.com also falls in this
same category. However, I feel the need to stress
this topic even more here.
Many
social bookmarking tools include the most common
bookmarking sites out there but there are always
more. The idea is to simply seek them out manually
and bookmark your site on those as well. Like, Digg.com,
it is often a good idea to get them digged. In other
words, as mentioned before, using a tool to submit
a site to many bookmarking sites is a great help
for you. But what about the pages you submitted
them to?
the
next step would be to go to the listing on the bookmark
sites themself and then bookmark them as well. For
example, if you used the bookmarking tools to bookmark
www.mywebsite.com on many social sites like digg.com,
you then go find that listing on digg.com, enter
the comments area of that site so that you are on
the page relative to just your listing and then
use that same tool to bookmark that page as well.
This is called "deep linking".
This
again can be very time consuming but this is actually
concidered a real SEO trick that can get your listings
moved up very quickly and is often overlooked by
most people. Below is the link to the bookmarks
toobar again that will enable you to do this technique
much more quickly.
